Welcome! My name is Kim, I live in Atlanta, Georgia with my awesome husband and our insane cat and I started this blog to showcase affordable luxury for the casual traveler.

I love to travel, and I try to do it as ‘comfortably yet frugally’ as possible. Sometimes my methods work and I’m treated to easy luxury, and other times I encounter moth-eaten sheets. Either situation is fine by me; taking the bumps in stride is part of the casual exploration process.

I am also a network television journalist who produced shows for a decade and has had bylines on various sites, including CNN.com, ESPN, NBC News, CBS, and MSNBC.com.
